Pass me a pencil, please!
I don't know about you, but I love to use pencils.. to write scribble jot draw doodle poke push twirl between my fingers ...
The word 'pencil' is a derivation from the Latin word 'pencillus' which means 'painters brush' because the earlierst pencils were, indeed, fine brushes. The type of pencil we have today is a wood encased graphite rod. The graphite acts like a lead, to write, and the wood encasing the graphite, apart from keeping our hands mess-free from the graphite dust, has to be soft enough for sharpening yet stable enough so that it would not bend. Amazing, isn't it?
What are you? A Pencil or a Pen?

The Malacca Series (II) - St. Paul's Church
Built in 1521 by a Portuguese captain, Duarte Coelho, as a symbol of gratitude to "Our Lady of Grace". When the Dutch took over Malacca, the church was renamed "St. Paul" (1641).
"To the Portuguese it was a place of worship; to the Dutch a church, a burial ground and a fortress, and to the British, a powder magazine. " [Robert K.H. Leo's Homepage]
